ABOUT US

Rooted Pelvic Health & Wellness was initially founded to support the perinatal population but has since grown to support other populations.  

​

We believe that pelvic health means addressing overall health and support patients with biopsychosocial interventions.  Our clinicians take a whole-body approach that is heavily influenced by leaders in the field such as Dr. Sarah Duvall, Dr. Becky Allen, and Hayley Kava.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

​

  • An occupational therapist or physical therapist who has completed H&W PF1 or PR-MATT and OT Pioneers.

  • A therapist who is eager to treat patients beyond kegels, clamshells, and glute bridges

  • Completion of Sarah Duvall’s PCES is preferred but not required.

  • Experience in pelvic health preferred, but also not required.  We believe that with enough passion and willingness to learn, that you will be successful in the field!  

  • Entry level clinicians will be provided with training and ongoing supervision 

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • 20 hours/ week to start with the option to grow to a full-time position if desired

  • Work/life balance: make a patient care schedule that works for YOU

  • Minimal documentation requirements

  • A supportive, fun environment that supports collaboration, mentorship, and continuing education.

Skills required: 

  • Demonstrates the basic skills for providing high-quality pelvic floor rehabilitation which includes but is not limited to: postural assessment, transvaginal assessment and treatment, assessment of functional movements, assessment of hips & LE

  • Ability to provide treatment that combines both manual therapy skills as well as  movement-based interventions

  • Strong knowledge of pelvic floor rehabilitation principles, techniques, and best practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build patient trust and rapport

  • Ability to assess patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in patient care

  • Perimenopausal and menopausal clients who have noticed an increase in symptoms, or who want to stay active for their long-term health.

  • Runner, lifters, or other athletes who want to keep moving without pelvic symptoms ruining the things they enjoy!
